Category: Geeks r Us
I was on MSN yesterday, bitching to a friend about the set-up of this computer and how Norton is inaccessible with JAWS, and my friend did some research on screenreaders and antivirus programs and found a website called The Blind Geek Zone. It's got all sorts of programs, like NVDA and AVG, that you can download, links to podcasts, blind-related petitions, and more. I can't believe I've never heard of this website! My friend found it within five minutes of the start of our computer conversation, and she's sighted! lol!
Anybody else ever been to this site?
Namaste,
Becky

I haven't heard of it before, but thanks for the heads up.
Yeah, Ric Harman's site, sp on the name, is not a bad site at all. He's done really well with it.
Yeah I agree, Ricksure has done a good job on that site, he's got a lot of good stuff up there.
I like it as well.

Hmm, I've never heard of it, but it sounds pretty interesting.
I heard a podcast that Rick Harman did on Blind Cool Tech, and he mentioned it in the end of the podcast. It sounds nice from what you guys are saying, so, I think I'll try it out.
Hmmmmm, sounds interesting, I should definitely go check that out!
No, Becky, I had never heard of this. thanks so much for posting about it. I intend to go check it out when I'm done playing around here on the Zone.
